Horley Town under 16A    5

Kew Association             1

Town welcomed Kew to the New Defence for the 3rd time this season and were looking to make it 3 out of 3 to put them 2nd in the league with a game in hand. Ryan Tucker got the team off to the perfect start after a good passing move gave him the ball 6 yards out which he put into the back of the net. Horley kept the ball moving and were in total control with some quality passing which allowed Tucker to make it 2 nil with a shot from the right hand side of the box. Kew were now finding it hard to get into the game as all the Town players were doing as instructed, keeping it simple and passing to feet. James Ferdinando replaced Dayne Alstrom and within minutes Rhys Brown made it 3 nil after 30 mins to give Town a good lead going into half time. The second half saw Town make further changes with Matthew Herbert and Sam Charles coming on. Town seemed to lose their way as they adjusted to the changes. Brown settled the team down with his 2nd of the game which put the game well out of Kews reach. With 20 mins to go Kew were awarded a penalty after Daniel Brewer pushed the Kew striker in the box. The Kew player sent keeper Hope the wrong way to take away the clean sheet Town were looking to keep intact. Robbie Newton finally got a goal after his longest spell without scoring, when he went round the keeper and put the ball away from a very tight angle. Overall this was a good solid performance which they need to into next weeks game against Staine Lammas.

Team; Hope, Pullin, Brewer, Sale, Hescott, Alstrom, Condon, Miller, Brown, Tucker, Newton. Subs; Ferdinando, Charles, Herbert

Hearts of Teddlothian F C    0

Horley Town U12s               5

From the kick off Town charged the oppositions goal mouth and within 25 seconds Joshua Ewles had put the visitors ahead, this signalled the home team to put all 10 players behind the ball and stifled the game from a very early stage, it took Horley a little while to break down a ten man defence and on 20 minutes Sam Bracken had doubled the lead despite countless other attempts that had to be cleared from the home sides goal line. After the break Town took full control of the game when Regan Derham netted and put the game beyond the home side, and soon after Toby Davie took advantage of what by then was one way traffic, before the end of the match many more Horley attempts were disallowed for a variety of bizarre decisions from the referee, and in the dieing moments of what had become a rout Ewles scored again.

Horley Town under 11A 1

Warrenmead A             0
Horley Town were aware going into the game that they would have to be at there best as Warrenmeads record spoke for itself, top of the league with 9 straight wins out of 9 scoring 35 goals and only conceding 12. Town started very brightly putting Warrenmead on the back foot with both strikers Sam Newton and Charlie Bird linking up well together getting in shots at goal but only to find the Warrenmead keeper on good form. Horley were playing some good flowing football against a strong Warrenmead side with both wingers Ollie Hollingshead and Matt Maycock up and down the wings assisting the strikers as well as getting back when required to defend. The strong midfield partnership of Callum Martin and Robert Burbidge were in great form breaking down midfield attacks from Warrenmead at all times throughout the game. Horley were finally rewarded with a goal after Warrenmead thought that they had cleared there lines but only to find the left back Adam Webb who smashed the ball straight back from 20 yards into the top corner giving the keeper no chance. 1-0 half time. In the second half Town continued to dominate the game and could have made 2-0 when a well delivered corner from Martell was in the box for about 15 second hitting everyone apart from the net. Warrenmead carved out a couple of chances but the keeper Russell Pike and back line of Jupp, De Faveri, Martell and Webb were in great form winning there battles when needed. Both Adam Sandiford and Ollie Gosnold came on and contributed to this great team performance win of 1-0. All 13 players were superb throughout and a credit to the club, they now have a couple of weeks rest over the festive period before they return for there last 16 county cup tie early January.

Horley Town under 16A  3

Kew Association             1

Town's first game for 3 weeks saw them play Kew Association in the quarter final of the cup. The 3 week break showed as town struggled to play any flowing football, they couldn't get the ball down and play as they know they can and should. Town broke the deadlock, when Wesley Miller sent over a quality corner to the back post which was met by Joe Condon who saw his header helped into the net by Rhys Brown. Town should have settled down and taken control of the game, but they let Kew straight back into the game when Hope in the Town goal was lobbed from just outside the box. The second half was more of the same with Town failing to find any rhythm to their play. The game 1-1 and went into extra time, after the team getting a strong talking to they came out for extra time and got the ball down and played the football they can. They were now in control of the game and creating chances. The second half of extra time saw Town win the tie with 2 more goals, the first came after a long range shot from Matthew Herbert was saved by the Kew keeper but Jack Pullin was following up and put the ball away. Rhys Brown made it 3-1 with a rare headed goal. Town will have to play a lot better in the semi final.

Team: Hope, Pullin, Brewer, Sale, Alstrom, Tucker, Condon, Miller(capt) Brown, Herbert, Newton. Subs Perry, Ferdinando,

Horley Town under 16's   4

Kew Association            2

Horley's under 16 A's continued on their quest for the league title with another home win. With a strong wind making it tough to control the ball and helping Kew's keeper with his kicks Town found themselves on the back foot in the first 10 mins. Once Town's central midfield of Wesley Miller and Joe Condon started to get on top and the partnership of Daniel Brewer and Zack Sale at the back being a strong as ever Town were soon taking control. Rhys Brown fresh from his subs appearence against Bookham for the first team put Town in front with a well taken goal from the right hand side of the box. Kew pulled a goal back after their forward found himself unmarked on the edge of the box and fired the ball past the stranded Hope in the Horley goal. Brown made it 2-1 just before half time. The second half started with more Town pressure leading to Ryan Tucker making it 3-1 and Town looking comfortable. Kew would not give up and with another of their forwards being left unmarked to score an almost identical goal to make it 3-2. Brown made it 4-2 with his 3d goal which started with Brewer finding Jack Pullin on the right of midfield, he beat the right back and sent over a low cross which Brown put away. Horley now visit top of the table team Feltham next week with the winner taking the top spot.

Team: Hope, Pullin, Brewer, Sale, Hescott, Tucker, Miller, Condon, Charles, Brown, Newton subs: Alstrom, Ferdinando, Herbert, Perry

T.D Sports under 12's  1
Horley Town Braves under 12's 4
Braves very quickly took control of this league game, with Joe Spencer~Ross scoring on 7 minutes. It was then not until Mobeen Hanid did some very skillful ball control to set up Reece Crofts on 30 minutes.
The second half started with the same pressure and Reece Crofts scored his second goal following a brave header from Joe Spencer~Ross. T.D Sports then pulled a goal back, only for Tom Michell to claim a goal from a well taken corner. Many players could had got man of the match as it was a good TEAM performance, but the honour went to Joe Spencer~Ross.

Horley Town under 16's    3

Egham Town                   1

After beating Egham in the league 3-2 two weeks ago they returned for a cup game. Egham took the lead after 2 mins when Horley didn't challenge for a header allowing the Egham forward to control the ball and fire a great shot which Hope in the Town goal did well to get a hand to. After having numerous attacks stopped by some bad offside decisions, Ryan Tucker beat the trap and put Robbie Newton through to equalise. Tucker made it 2-1 to put Town back in control. The second half saw Town step up a gear with Newton hitting the post after a quality cross field ball from Rhys Brown. Joe Condon saw his 25 yard shot graze the bar after a piece of pure skill from Wesley Miller gave him the ball. Brown hit the bar with another effort. Town were on top and with centre backs Zack Sale and Daniel Brewer in control of the Egham forwards the next round looked in the bag. Tucker sealed it with his second 2 mins from time.

Team; Hope, Pullin, Brewer, Sale, Hescott(capt) Tucker, Condon, Miller, Herbert, Brown, Newton. subs Alstrom, Ferdinando, Perry

Horley Town under 16's    3

Feltham Town youth        2

Town's under 16's needed to win to go top in this 3rd v 2nd game. The conditions were awful with driving rain and wind for the players to contend with. Feltham started better the Horley and were soon looking to take control of the game. They went 1 up when a shot in the box hit the Town post and a Feltham strker reacted first to poke the ball past Nathan Hope in the Town goal. This seemed to kick start Horley into action and they were soon back in the game with a shot from just inside the box from Robbie Newton. Town now settled down and started to get on top with Joe Condon and Wesley Miller in the centre of midfield and Ryan Tucker keeping Felthams main threat quiet. Rhys Brown back from his first team outing put Town ahead when he broke through the Feltham defence to place the ball past the keeper. Horley were now in control and when Zack Sale won the ball at centre back and played a good ball to Condon who sent Miller through on he edge of the box, he then beat 2 defenders to fire the ball past the keeper to give Town 3-1 lead. Horley were hoing to take the lead into half time, when Feltham were awarded a free kick 25 yards out. The shot was well struck and Hope looked to have kept it out only for the ball to drop to a Feltham forward to scramble the ball in. The second half saw both teams battleing to try and control the game. Feltham threw everything at Horley in a 10 minute period, James Ferdinando helped his keeper out when the ball dropped behind him and Ferdinando beat the forward to the ball and cleared it for a corner. Feltham kept the pressure up, but with Sale and his centre back partner Daniel Brewer again in great form the threat came to nothing. the game ended 3-2 with the 3 points and top spot going to Horley.

Team: Hope, Pullin, Brewe, Sale, Hescott(capt) Tucker, Condon, Miller, Herbert, Brown, Newton. subs: Alstrom, Charles, Ferdinando, Perry.

Horley Town u16  5

Molesey Juniors   0

Town continued their good form with a convincing win against a good Molesey side. The first half was a close gme with both teams battleing to get on top. Molesey started to lose their composure as Town started to get on top and take control of the game with Joe Condon having a great game in the Town midfield. Robbie Newton scored the Horley opener with a well taken goal from just inside the Molesey box. Molesey were reduced to 10 players when one of their players was sent off for his second bookable offence, he then grabbed the ref which lead to some of the players being involved in a scuffle after the Town players came to the ref's aid! The second half saw Horley take control of the game, Town capt Jack Hescott lobbed the keeper from 40yards and then Rhys Brown drove the 3rd from 25 yards and Horley were cruising to victory. Josh Perry made it 4 and Matthew Herbert scored the goal of the game with a superb left foot shot from just outside the box. The Horley team have the best defensive record in the league and hope to continue the winning form next week away to Egham Town. Man of the match Joe Condon.

Team: Hope, Ferdinando, Brewer, Sale, Hescott(capt) Pullin, Condon, Miller, Tucker, Brown, Newton; subs Herbert, Charles, Perry, Alstrom.

Whyteleafe B U12s       4

Horley Town U12s     5

Horley took their 4 match unbeaten run to Whyteleafe this week, and fell behind twice only to come back and show why they have risen to joint top of this very competitive Saturday league, the home team stuck 1st and although Town pulled one back prior to the break they found them selves again 2-1 down, the second half saw a much more inspired performance from Horley and goals from Richard Esparon Sam bracken and Regan Derham completing his hat trick saw off the home sides efforts, and gave Town a well earned 3 points to keep them at the top of the table.

Horley Town u10’s  5

Cuckfield Cosmos   0

Horley's 100% record in this League continued after two victories in this double header.

The first half of the first game saw Horley dominate possession for little reward. but the addition of Lad of the match Jake Roberts made an immediate impact. Jake making good runs down the right caused Cuckfield problems.

A brace apiece for Jake Roberts and David Bishop, and a fine lob from Harry Stockwell ensured Horley took the points.

Horley Town u10’s  5

Cuckfield Cosmos   0

The second game was dominated by David Bishop who scored 4 goals, his determined runs and powerful shots proved too much for Cuckfield, Bishop was deservedly made Lad of the Match.

Goals from Ryan Hall (2) and one apiece from Cathal Hogan and Jake Roberts ensured that Horley were good value for the points

Horley Town under 16   1

Staines Lammas under 16

Town were hoping to make it 3 wins out of 3 in this league game against a strong Staines side. the game started well with Horley laying some very good passing football which was creating plenty of chances, but the forwards couldnt find the finish they needed. Newton and Brown ent close on a number of times. Against the run of play staines tok the lead after a mistake between the town midfield and defence. own started the second half exactly as own wanted with Robbie Newton superblt lobbing the Staines keeper after being put through by Rhys Brown. Town were now in control and made some substitions which was to prove costly. They continued to creat chances with Ryan Tucker having 3 good chances that he didn't put away. Staines took the lead after the Town keeper did a 'lehman' and mis kicked a pass back which alowed the Staines forward to put the ball in the back of the net. He redeemed himself minutes later with an oustanding save to his right. Town pushed Staines all the way to the final whistle and josh perry could have equalised with 2 mins to go when he headed over Wesley Miller's corner. Credit should be given to both teams for an outstanding game of football, which some people watching said they could have watched all afternoon.

Team: Hope, Pullin, Brewer, Sale, Hescott (capt) Tucker, Condon, Miller, Herbert, Newton, Brown: Subs Alstrom, Charles, Perry, Ferdinando.

Horley Town Falcons 0

Wealden Rangers       1

The Falcons started the new season with a spirited display against Wealden Rangers. Pre season training showed as they set about confining Rangers to their half for most of the first half and was unlucky not to go in at half time two or three up.

Falcons continued to press and were unlucky to be caught on the break by a well taken Rangers goal given new signing Mickey no chance in goal. Falcons other new signing Michael was a power house in midfield up front Cole was very unlucky not to score.

Falcons:  Green, Kharroubi (Barnett), Marshal, Meacher, Mills, Walsh, Wilson
