Noticed improvement in the League now up to 12th, possibly now safe and no doubt 'building' for a Ryman League assault next season.

With statistics in mind have noticed (as no doubt yourselves have) the stat of fewest goals scored and least conceded (except one other) and holding a mid table position.

With football folk looking to be entertained with goals would people looking at these stats tend to be 'put off' from coming, this no doubt would be the 'floating' supporters as against the 'hard nosed' who follow the team thro thick and thin.

All this has been in stark contrast to our local village side Crawley Down battling for promotion from Sussex County Div 2 (3rd at mo)
whose last three home games have been 9-0, 4-0, and 6-0 last saturday, this has stirred the village into getting 'bums off seats' and coming along. A certain Darren Tidy has been in prolific form with 7 goals although ironically he didn't score saturday (football wise anyway).

Sorry to drone on but one did notice a dearth of posts recently. SF

Goals

Sorry Silver Fox but I think you will find it is harder to get scores like crawley downs in the combined counties league, and although Daren was a quality striker, would also find it harder to get goals in the CCL Premier.

Point taken about the CCL although as we all know there comes a time when you get the odd team thro various reasons whom tend to get 'hammered' at times thro out the season.

Re. Darren obviously looks a class act at SC Div 2 level with his speed and skill on the ball as his 24 goals from 30 starts might suggest. He also looks to be a fiery character at times as his 8 yellow cards might indicate. Just hope he keeps quiet on the run in to seasons end and get us promoted to Div 1.

Also keep up the good work Horley.
