This was always going to be a tough game with Guildfords last two results being a 2-2 draw with Chertsey and a win against promotion contenders Cove.
This League Cup tie was for a place in the last 8, Guildford started the game strongly and pushed us back to defend for the first 10 mins then probably against the run of play we nicked a goal.After that we dominated the first half with some good football that had been missing in previous weeks and at half time were 3-0 up. The second half Guildford came out of the blocks quick as we expected and got a quick goal,5 mins later we conceeded a penalty and it was 3-2. After this period we settled back down and went on to win convincinly 5-2.Overall it was not a bad performance hopefully we take this on to this weekends game at home to Chertsey.

Hi Guildford City fan here who wasn't able to make the League Cup match on Tues but has offered to write the match report.
