Littleton Lions 0
Horley’s first league game of the season saw them convincingly beat Littleton Lions at the New Defence. Sam Charles settled his team mates down with a strike from 20 yards after 20 mins. Littleton through everything at Town for the last 10 mins of the first half, but the defence of Pullin, Brewer, Sale and Alstrom with Hope in goal were more than a match for the forwards. The second half saw Town play as they can and with Ferdinando coming on for Pullin and Perry for Charles, they were soon in control and went 2 up through a quality finish from Robbie Newton. Newton made it 3 and Horley were now in total control. Town’s 4th goal was the goal of the game, when Zack Sale won the ball and gave it to Rhys Brown in the town midfield who played a superb cross field ball to Matthew Herbert wide on the right, Herbert crossed the ball first time for Ryan Tucker to fire home. Tucker made it 5 in the closing minutes, to round off a very good second half performance from the Horley side.
